Mark Turns 34!

Last week was Marks 34th birthday, normally we don't do too much to celebrate our birthdays, we usually spend all our party prowess on the kids birthdays but this year I was in the mood to make it a bit more memorable.

Didn't fell like doing a large cake though, gotta love pillsbury ready made gluten free cookie dough, instant cookie cake.

The previous day Mark caught his last crab for the season for a birthday clam bake.

This is how you wrap presents boat style, with no wrapping paper and no tape because the kids used all my tape, scotch and duct, on taping together their angry bird blocks so they wouldn't fall down.

34 candles.

We sent Mark to work with 9 bags of presents with times written on them, he was to open one bag every hour. With his new job he has an office now so one of his bags had framed pictures with us all holding signs of why we love him. The rest had snacks, magazines, a new travel mug, an iTunes  gift card, etc...

The kids made up their own reasons.

I love him for this reason too.

When Daddy came home for work we were ready for him. This was hanging on the dock as he turned onto our finger.

The kids had their camo face paint on and were armed to the teeth with foam darts.

Finns hiding place.

Ashys hiding place.

We had so much fun, the kids were so hyped up and were all ready about two hours before he actually came home. I was the look out, standing on the bow with the binoculars keeping eye on the parking lot to see when Daddy pulled in so they could get in their places.

We all hid and we could hear him walking down the dock, Finn kept whispering "Mom, is this awesome?"
Once he turned the corner and saw the sign "eye of the tiger" started playing and the battle was on.

We lost a lot of ammo overboard.

Going to retrieve them.

A big surprise, a new Mac mini. It was a surprise for me too, while he was at work we walked across the street to the NEX and I saw them by the checkout, hands down the most expensive impulse buy ever.

We ended the day with dinner out at Applebee's, Aislinn has turned into a reading monster, her face in a book everywhere be go.

We all had a fun day, the weather was beautiful, one of the best birthdays Mark has had and won't soon be forgotten.
