Pools and Sun. Bilges and Stove Pipes.

Thankfully the past three days have been hot and sunny and just beautiful here in Orlando. The family and I have been soaking it all up (maybe a bit too much if you could see my burn lines.)

Lounging by the pool.

                                                                           Mini golf.

Feeding alligators.

Holding alligators.

Lego store at Downtown Disney.

Princesses.

Hot and tired after a long day of swimming and spending all of Moms money.

We have ears. Say Cheers! (Mickey Mouse clubhouse fans will understand.) the ear power lines is our landmark before our exit back to the townhouse.

While we have been busy wiling away the hours here in the sunshine state, Mark has been back home in cold, windy Washington busily making the most of his first 'off' rotation. Four straight days to work on the boat. Unfortunately the weather has been pretty cold and the bird is still monopolizing the use of the space heater, poor Mark sleeps with his touque on at night.

The bilges are sorely in need of a repaint. Step one before we start installing plumbing.

Some fibreglass work needed to be done up in the v berth where water has been coming in.

Finally! finally, the holes been cut through the deck for the chimney pipe! deck iron installed and my lovely $300 copper smoke pipe, which is already turning green after an hour in Washingtons mist.

Voila! The finished project. Only took three months but our skippy wood stove is installed... Well almost, the legs still need to be bolted down to the shelf it sits on so it doesn't fly off on a tack. But without thinking we bought the cheapest tiles on sale at Home Depot and once installed realized they were porcelain, hardest tile to drill through. So we are waiting for the diamond drill bit to arrive from amazon before we'll be completely finished with that project, but it is ready enough to use so hopefully all works well and Mark and Penelope and Barney will be warm tonight.

Lights installed in the v berth, there were no lights, I believe this is the first time I've actually seen it in there, instead of a black cavernous hole.

And the first coat of bilge paint. Progress is being made, feeling encouraged.
