Annual Shoe Day.

Once a year we go out to footlocker and buy brand new, ridiculously expensive Air Jordan sneakers. This day came this week, there is no footlocker on the island so it was an all day excursion, an hour drive and a ferry ride to get to Everett. I was pleased to discover all the kids feet had grown three sizes this last year, I don't even know how they were fitting in their other shoes. I say pleased because our kids seem to have trouble growing, they are smaller than kids their age, even kids a few years younger then them, so any time I get reassurance that they are growing, I am happy.

The boys building the storage units for the cabins in the boat.

Our new weather station.

This past week we have had an influx of cash come in from selling more of our things so we have chiseled away at our "to buy" list for the boat, a new fridge, rugs for the kids cabins, storage units and fabric drawers for their clothes, a TV, a dehumidifier, trampoline netting, am steel for making the lazy jacks...
Everyday we get more and more deliveries, the kids jump out of their seats as we drive down the driveway to see if there are any new packages left there by the mailman.
We still have the fish finder, dog porch potty, outdoor cushions and a bunch of other stuff I can't even remember, still to come.

We have been busy down at the boat trying to get the inside painted. It's like the project that will never end. But there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel, one more day of painting and it should be done, just the galley cupboards and the floor left to paint, so exciting.

The boys room, the green on the trim is going to take like 15 coats.

Aislinns cabin, pink. It is certainly bright and cheery. It's odd walking into the boat and off to the right there is a pink cabin and to the left a powder blue one, it's like walking to a baby store, but once I get the curtains up over the openings it won't be so "attention-grabbing."
