Advent Day 3

I know this is supposed to be a blog about our sailing adventures, unfortunately we find ourselves stuck. Stuck with no time to fix up the boat, stuck in winter where it's freezing down there, stuck in between birthdays and christmas where money is tight so our boat time consists of going down and checking on her every couple of days? Mark just had an off rotation but only spent. A few hours down on SweetHaven finishing up the heat shield tiling, thankfully we are done that, now we are waiting to be able to afford to get the chimney pipe custom made for that space and we are setting our sights on the next project to tackle, the head. We are are drawing up plans, trying to figure out what to do with the two 55 gallon water tanks we have and can't return and won't fit anywhere on the boat, so annoying, measure twice or three times, order once.

So while we are stuck in the middle with the boat we are focusing on Christmas. Currently my Grandparents are driving across the country from Nova Scotia to here for the holidays, they should be here in a few days so we are all anxiously awaiting their arrival. Mark and I have spent our evenings working on the tree, now that we finally got the lights on we have been spending hours stringing popcorn and cranberry garland. It actually only took two full evenings and four Christmas movies to get it all done.

Our elf on the shelf, Elferino has made his appearance again this year, I think I have as much fun as the kids do, so far he has been found hanging from the pot holder, making snow angels in some rice, warming up in a bubble bath.

Thanks to Marks motorbike still being a useless piece of junk taking up room in the garage, the kids and I are without a vehicle so we are busing it these days. Here we are waiting for the bus to go in to town for Tae Kwon Do and swimming lessons.

Our RACK advent has been going well, for day three we left diapers and some wipes in the baby change stations in walmart. Our lack of transportation is making it harder to do our acts of kindness, but we will perserver.

Today the elf got into the angry birds and I can't light a fire today, should have thought that one through.

Ornaments are the next step and the tee will be done, I'm concerned that it's only the 4th of December and the tee is shedding needles like crazy and isn't drinking, it may be a brown mess by Christmas Day.
